**Due to this weekend's storm and resulting power outages, we are unfortunately cancelling the portion of the show featuring Blueshift's collaboration with Dave Shouse. Without power, we can't rehearse with Dave, so we hope to perform with him another time. We still have a full program for you, so the show will still go on! This Friday, 8pm!
Blueshift Ensemble is presenting its fifth large scale performance at the historic Memphis Scottish Rite Temple. The program features chamber works by Frederic Rzewski, Steve Reich, Sarah Kirkland Snider, David T. Little, Thea Musgrave, and a world premier of Memphis composer David Shotsberger’s piece for electric guitar and string quartet.
An art exhibition curated by Jason Miller of the Circuitous Succession Gallery will accompany the performance on the first floor of the building. The exhibition will feature artists Christopher St. John, Jan Hankins, Jason Stout, Juan Rojo, and Thomas Murray.
Tickets are $10; Students $5 at the door with a student ID.
